Kilmarnock West & Crosshouse By-Election Candidate Allan Macdonald fully supports the Scottish Conservatives Campaign to Stop Labour's Family Farm Tax.
Labour’s cruel decision to impose a family farm tax will see the demise of hundreds of traditional working farms who provide food for our plates and will affect rural areas across the East Ayrshire Area as well as across Scotland and the UK.
Allan said "East Ayrshire has a massive Rural Farming community, we must support our Farming families from this unfair and unjust Tax which Labour are set to impose!"
All 31 Scottish Conservative MSPs signed an open letter urging the Chancellor to U-turn on the Family Farm Tax.
Labour’s Family Farm Tax is a shameful betrayal of the sector, who have already been neglected for 17 years by the SNP Government. Labour’s plans would inhibit farmer’s ability to pass farms to their children, put our food security at risk and raise prices in supermarkets. That is why all Scottish Conservative MSPs have written to the Chancellor, urging her to recognise the concern across Scotland and scrap the Family Farm Tax.
