From 2021 to 2023, the average life expectancy was 76.9 years for men and 80.9 years for women, remaining lower than levels seen before the Covid pandemic.
This is no surprise given that Scotland has the worst drug deaths rate in Europe, cancer waiting times have not been met in over a decade, and one in six Scots are on NHS waiting lists.
The SNP are disconnected from the real-world impact of their policies and must urgently outline plans that will improve health in Scotland.
