South Scotland MSP Sharon Dowey has visited Struthers Primary School in Troon to congratulate the winners of her 2024 Christmas card design competition.
Pupils from Primaries 2 and 6 at Struthers designed their own Christmas scene, with dozens of entries being narrowed down to a winner, and two runners-up. The MSP visited Struthers to thank all the pupils who took part and to present the three finalists with their own signed Christmas card and some festive gifts. The competition was won by Primary 2 Ava, with runners-up Ailsa and Ruaraidh from Primary 6.
Scottish Conservative and Unionist MSP Sharon Dowey said: “It was a real pleasure to visit Struthers Primary School to thank the pupils who took part in my Christmas card competition and to congratulate the winner Ava, and runners-up Ailsa and Ruaraidh. I was very impressed by the entries, all of which featured a fantastic Christmas design, and it was great to see the boys and girls getting into the festive spirit.”
