In Ward 3 our Candidate Allan Macdonald for Kilmarnock and Crosshouse was in 3rd place with 623 Votes.
In Ward 9 our Candidate Tracey Clark for the Doon Valley Ward was in 2nd place with 410 Votes.
Mike Bullen, Chairman of East Ayrshire Conservative Association said:
"Despite the best efforts of our valiant troops., we sadly lost both elections to Labour. That said, we increased our support in Ward 9 by 9%, which is good. Labour only won after the 7th iteration of the Single Transferable Vote system. Beating SNP was good and it was surprising how the Labour vote held up despite the implications of the recent budget. In Ward 3, we came 3rd losing a little ground, but none the less a sound result given the low turnout."
"I would like to express sincere thanks on behalf of both candidates for the level of commitment and support from our loyal volunteers over the last 4 weeks. Thank you also to the many hundreds of voters who voted for Allan or Tracey in their respective Wards. I do hope that you will continue to support us as we move towards the Holyrood elections in 2026."
