Ayrshire MSP Sharon Dowey has visited the Ayrshire Hospice Shop in Ayr.
Sharon visited the Crown Street premises to learn more about the work of hospice shops and to see first-hand the invaluable role the team of dedicated volunteers play in providing the highest standards of service. With an extensive collection of items, the thriving shop is always looking to grow, with donations warmly accepted and appreciated.
The shop also acts as a “Home Depot”, with a wonderful range of pre-loved furniture, homewares and household items to brighten and furnish any home as well as adult and kids clothing and toys, games and an extensive book collection. Access is conveniently located to the rear of the shop, with ample parking available for those wishing to make a donation or to visit.
Sharon Dowey MSP also met with a fantastic team of volunteers, and was given a tour of the shop by: Shop Manager, Derek Lennox, Area Manger, Gerry Rooney and Hospice Director of Operations, Liz Denovan.
